The peaceful surroundings are conducive to relaxing and sunning with the latest bestseller or taking a stroll or shelling on the beach. Hunt for the treasures of the surf finding shells from the area’s exotic marine life. Wade into the surf and let the winds raise a kite to the deep blue sky. Scan the horizon for dolphins as they frolic offshore. Watch terns and gulls as they glide on the Gulf breezes and sandpipers as they scurry along the beach skirting the receding waves. Gather in the twilight with others to watch one of Southwest Florida’s famous sunsets. Take an evening walk and look for stars shooting across the clear night sky.
