FISHING
One does not need to own a vessel to enjoy the marine lifestyle!  Boat rentals and charters are plentiful for those looking to spend a day on the water or pursue one of the area’s favorite pastimes – sports fishing.

Estero Bay is where you can find the elusive snook!  Jacks, trout, ladyfish and reds can be found almost anywhere in the surrounding waters while the Gulf of Mexico is home to mackerel, grouper and tarpon -- one of the area’s most favorite game fish.

WILDLIFE
Rent a canoe or kayak and explore the gentle backwaters of Lovers Key State Park or Koreshan State Historic Site. Hell Peckney Bay Canoe and Kayak Trail allows you to to explore one of the Southwest Florida's most pristine marine habitats.  Among the protected waters of interconnected bays and tidal creeks, you may have the chance to see the area's diverse wildlife, including the infamous red Ibis, wading birds, the southern bald eagle, fish and rays, dolphin and the protected manatee.
